Saturday night I attended a charity event to increase financial literacy among youth hosted by Hill Harper.  It was an amazing roaring 20's themed event and I loved dressing the part.

Recently, I discovered that pairing red and mint green makes for a lovely combo.  It's a great way to wear red and green without it having a Christmasy feel.  Plus, it looks amazing when you throw in the leopard print. :)

Fun Times in Mexico

For my friend's birthday over the weekend, we ventured across the border for some bday festivities.  I'll admit that I was a little nervous to go.  This was especially because all the crazy stories I heard recently about the dangers of driving to border towns in Mexico.  But I have to say that going was one of the best experiences I've had.

Mexico was beautiful and we all had a really great time.  Check out some of the highlights from our little weekend getaway. ;) Plus, you can catch a little sneak peak of one of my latest makes (sweater shirt above). Enjoy!

HAPPY 2013!!!

I'm BAACK!!!

The Holiday season has been such a wonderful time and such a great way to usher in the new year.  I know I have been MIA for a min! But I have been thinking about you all a lot and the direction of this blog in the upcoming year.

A lot has changed since I last posted. Namely, I got a new job, which I am so blessed to have.  However, my sewing time has diminished and my style has had to change to accomodate work requirements.  Getting adjusted to the work world has been tiring but rewarding, although I've been so sad that my blog has been on the super back burner.  However, I can't wait to get back into my  blogging full blast.

I have a few changes in the works to accomodate my sewing/blogging hobby and my new career.  I hope you all will stay tuned in 2013 and come along on this journey with me in 2013 as I pursue my career full time and my dreams after work hours.

In the meantime, we have some serious catching up to do, don't we? Stay tuned this month, as I catch you all up on what was going on while I was MIA for the last couple of months.  I want to share with you guys not only my latest makes but also, what I am rocking these days to adapt my business casual work dress code with the current items in wardrobe (including my makes).  It's been pretty fun actually and I have been dying to share my work looks with you all.  ;)
