Make #20
How I Styled It:
Hat: Ross (old)
White Tee: American Basics
Bag: Longchamp Bilberry Le Pliage
Belt: Ralph Lauren (real old)
Shoes: DSW
Hi-Los and Pastels are my favorite trends right now. So, I figured why not combine them. ;)
I have been wanting to make a hi-lo skirt for what seems like forever. When I came across this fabric, I knew I found the perfect one. I love, love my new skirt. I can't wait to make some more varieties of it. They're just so fun.
There are so many names for the high-low hem trend (hi-lo, high-low, fishtail, etc). What do you call this type of skirt? I'm curious. Do share in the comments below. ;)
Asymmetrical skirt :)
ReplyDeleteBtw you are looking gorgeous! <3

Thanks girlie. I fell in love with this fabric and could not wait to make something with it. I was really happy with the outcome.
DeleteI agree! It is a lovely skirt, and the color is perfect for spring! Sheer fabric is the best :)

Thanks. Sheer fabric is pretty awesome especially as the weather is starting to heat up. I am so loving this color and am dying to make more pieces in it to add to my spring wardrobe. :)
DeleteLOVE that skirt! I love how you styled it!
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot. I was torn about how to wear and at the least minute decided to go for this look. I appreciate the validation. ;)
DeleteAnother cute one, Rejina. Did you make another elastic waist casing for this, too?
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary Ann. I did use the elastic casing for this skirt also. ;)
DeleteI've actually heard them being called "mullet skirts" haha. Wow you are so talented!! :)

Love your skirt and hat, so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI like calling it the hi-low skirt, not the mullet (it just sounds bad). And honestly who wants to call it a mullet skirt and think of the bad 80s hair cuts :(
ReplyDeleteThis is actually the prettiest hi low skirt ive seen! Excellent job!
ReplyDeleteI call them high-low, but I have heard them called mullet, fishtail, asymmetrical, etc. Yours is so pretty, I love the soft color!
ReplyDeleteI love your high-low skirt, so pretty and feminine! I can't believe you made that, it's gorgeous!
